Project context
Modernisation of an information system for road and motorway maintenance. The system connects map data with vehicle movements and activities, maintenance planning, operational logs and records of completed work. This information supports operational management, checks of reported work and reporting. The architecture scope therefore covered the application, infrastructure, data relationships and integrations with related systems.
My contribution
- Leading the technical team and coordinating architecture and implementation work.
- Designing hardware and software architecture, including the operating environment, capacity needs and non-functional requirements.
- Analysing the existing solution and preparing an implementation specification for its modernisation.
- Designing integrations and data relationships between mapping and operational workflows.
- Contributing to implementation, providing technical guidance and coordinating the solution with the client throughout delivery.
